I UNDERSTAND POSSIBLY THAT ONE OF THE CONCERNS THAT IF MULTIPLE SITUATIONS HAPPEN LIKE THIS, THAT IT MAY CAUSE THE CITY TO HAVE TO SPEND A LITTLE BIT MORE MONEY OR CAUSE [00:05:01] SOME FINANCIAL OFFSETS BECAUSE OF THE FACT THAT WE HAVE TWO EVENTS THAT MAY BE OF THE SAME NATURE AND THE SAME CULTURE. OUR APPLICATION WAS SUBMITTED TO THE DEPARTMENT WAY PRIOR TO THAT. OTHER APPLICATIONS FOR THE SAME EVENT WERE SUBMITTED AFTER THAT, AFTER THAT, BUT COINCIDENTALLY MAYBE APPROVED AT THE SAME TIME. IT ALSO CLOSES DOWN A STATE HIGHWAY TWO DIFFERENT TIMES IN A WEEK FOR, FOR A PARADE FOR THE SAME EVENT. AND IT'S JUST TIME. I REALIZED THAT DR. RASHEED JUST SAID THAT THEY'VE HAD THEIR PARADE THE LAST THREE YEARS AND IT PROBABLY CAME UP IN A CONSENT AGENDA THE PREVIOUS YEAR THAT I DIDN'T SEE IT. 'CAUSE I WOULD'VE MENTIONED IT AT THE TIME. RASHEED'S PARADE THIS YEAR. I'VE CONFIRMED WITH ALMOST ALL OF 'EM. SO THAT'S YOUR ATHLETIC TEAMS, YOUR CHARMERS, YOUR CHEERLEADERS, ALL OF THOSE GROUPS. AND I'M NOT IN SUPPORT OF, UH, DOING THIS AROUND THE TERMINAL. THAT'S MY POSITION. YEAH, I AGREE. UM, PRIME LOCATION THAT WE NEED TO CONSIDER THE BEST LONG-TERM USE ON. AND I PERSONALLY THINK THAT THE CITIES NEED TO PUT MONEY INTO BUILDING THEIR, THE HANGERS AND NOT BE GIVEN 50 YEAR LEASES ON THE LAND BECAUSE THEN THAT LAND'S TIED UP FOR 50 YEARS. IF WE'VE SIGNED A LEGAL DOCUMENT TO THE PEOPLE AND WE'VE LEASED OUT THE LAND THAT WE HAVE, I MEAN WE, NOT ANY SPECIFIC COMPANIES, BUT MR. ATKINS DOWN BROUGHT UP SOME COMPANIES TO ME THAT WE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE COME AND PUT ON, BUILD SOMETHING ON THE PROPERTY THAT WOULD BE AN ECONOMIC DRIVER. AND IF THAT COULD HAPPEN, THAT'S GREAT. BUT IF WE DO LAND LEASES, IF BASICALLY JUST GETTING THE RENT OFF OF THE LAND , YEAH, THERE'S GONNA BE A BUILDING THERE, BUT WE'RE NOT REALLY GETTING ANYTHING OFF OF THAT EXCEPT THE LEASE MONEY OFF OF IT.
